Melodee Arrendell

Melodee Arrendell has worked as an appraiser since 1983, but was introduced to the appraisal business while employed as a secretary in 1974. She left the appraisal business for the oilfield, but came back to her first love, real estate in 1983. As a fee appraiser she specialized in industrial and commercial appraisal.

In 1995, Melodee joined the San Jacinto County Appraisal District, earning her RPA in 1998, working her way up to Senior Appraiser. She moved to the Harris County Appraisal District in 2000 as an Industrial Specialist in the Business and Industrial Property Division. With the help and encouragement of some friends in TAAO, she earned her CTA in 2003. An opportunity arose in 2005 in the Review Appraisal Section (litigation) and Melodee retired from HCAD in 2013, She has been employed by Pritchard & Abbott as an Industrial, Utility and Personal Property appraiser since 2013.

Melodee was honored by her peers in the Gulf Coast Chapter in 2007 with the first Mentor of the Year award. She was also the chapter CTA of the year 2009. She is a TDLR certified instructor and teaches most courses required for the RPA designation. In addition, she is a Certified USPAP Instructor through The Appraisal Foundation, 1 of 36 in the state and 1 of 2 that specializes in mass appraisal.
