Larry Krumnow
Larry E. Krumnow is the former Chief Appraiser for Madisonville County Appraisal District. He currently works part-time appraiser. He started his career as a vocational agriculture instructor in Lovelady, Texas after graduation from Sam Houston State Teacher College (now Sam Houston State University) in 1963. Three years later he moved to Madisonville and began work in school administration. In 1973, he took the job as Business Manager/Tax Assessor Collector and later became the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Madisonville Public Schools. In December 1998, he retired from Madisonville Public Schools and took over as the Chief Appraiser of MCAD.

Larry is a TDLR certified instructor and serves on the PTEC committee. He served two terms as the State Chairman of the Texas Rural Chief Appraisers, Inc.

Larry has been involved with TAAO, the Texas Association of School Assessors, and Texas Association of School Business Officials throughout his career. He has served as the Region 11 Director for TAAO, as well as served on many state level TAAO committees.

He earned his RTA in 1987, RPA in 2001 and CTA in 2004. He also holds the Certified Texas School Business Administrator certification.  

His free time is taken by his farming and ranching operations. He and his wife Becky have Beefmaster and commercial cattle.
